About the Role:
The Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) team is dedicated to transforming data into actionable intelligence, empowering pharmaceutical businesses to stay competitive in a data-driven world.

As Senior Manager – Analytics Developer, you will take a hands-on leadership role in designing, developing, and managing data solutions that power advanced AI and analytics applications. Collaborating closely with data scientists and subject matter experts, you will build robust data models, pipelines, and feature stores to enable everything from statistical analysis to cutting-edge AI and machine learning, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.

You will play a central role in high-impact projects, including ROI analysis, Field Force sizing, on-demand analytics, digital transformation initiatives, and enterprise data strategy execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of core data components for advanced analytics layers, enabling AI-driven insights and commercial intelligence.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute enterprise data strategy, translating roadmaps into technical solutions.

  • Design and build end-to-end data pipelines and products for advanced AI and RAG applications in the pharmaceutical domain.

  • Build clean, reliable data foundations to support statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI applications.

  • Deliver high-quality, performant data to enable strategic business decisions in brand and commercial operations.

  • Apply innovative analytical techniques and stay updated on emerging trends in AI, RAG, and agentic data systems.

  • Maintain data quality, governance, and ethical AI standards across all developed solutions.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in data and analytics engineering.

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.

  • Strong Python programming skills, with experience in libraries such as Polars, Pandas, and Numpy.

  • Extensive experience with modern data stacks and distributed systems, including dbt, Airflow, Spark, and Snowflake.

  • Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience implementing data quality, observability, and alerting frameworks.

  • Knowledge of modern software development practices: Git, CI/CD, and Docker.

  • Proven experience in mentoring engineers and leading technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical analytics, delivering measurable business impact.

  • Strong understanding of data engineering best practices, including performance optimization and cost management.

  • Dashboard development experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Streamlit.

  • Ability to communicate technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Familiarity with data product management principles.
