Job Title: Senior Manager, Medical Science Liaisons, US Thoracic Lead

Location: Chesterbrook, PA (Field-based; Ideal candidates should be located in or near Boston, MA. Territory includes Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and potentially Michigan.)

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Medical Science Liaisons (MSL), US Thoracic Lead is a critical role within US Medical Affairs. This full-time, field-based position involves leading and managing a team of US MSLs to execute strategic initiatives both pre-launch and post-launch in line with company objectives. The role encompasses coaching, mentoring, and developing the MSL team while working closely with cross-functional partners including R&D, Clinical Operations, Clinical Affairs, and the USBLT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the medical affairs strategy for launching TTFields in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) through the MSL team.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for territory and KOL engagement in the NSCLC field.
  • Collaborate with thoracic medical directors, the US Medical Team (USMT), and Global Medical Affairs to ensure alignment on strategies and communication plans.
  • Support Clinical Affairs and Operations with Novocure’s sponsored research as applicable.
  • Identify scientific and medical gaps in NSCLC and develop evidence generation plans to address them.
  • Communicate competitive intelligence and key scientific insights from the MSL team internally.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain talented MSL team members; ensure effective staffing of the region.
  • Coach and mentor the MSL team to meet corporate objectives and support their professional development.
  • Evaluate MSL performance, identify training needs, and foster career development.
  • Serve as a field resource for maintaining successful relationships with thought leaders, clinical investigators, and scientific community members.
  • Provide insights to in-office medical affairs teams and help strategize action plans for impactful dissemination.
  • Support the MSL team in collaborating with investigators on research involving TTFields and Novocure investigational products.
  • Attend and provide scientific support at relevant regional and national congress meetings; communicate insights internally.
  • Serve as an internal scientific resource for training and educational support.
  • Manage change effectively and set a positive example for the MSL team.
  • Demonstrate strong planning, influencing, and motivational skills.
  • Ensure an environment of trust, transparency, and accountability within the regional MSL team.

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific or clinical field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a field medical or similar role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strategic, proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
