Senior Healthcare Research & Data Analyst

About the Role

As a Senior Healthcare Research & Data Analyst, you will leverage data-driven approaches to address complex client challenges. You will design, execute, and guide engagements that apply advanced analytical methods to some of the largest healthcare datasets in the world. Your work will directly contribute to transforming the structure and delivery of healthcare.


Key Responsibilities

  • Apply qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills to develop and enhance data products in the healthcare provider vertical.

  • Design, develop, and maintain processes and systems for analyzing structured and unstructured “big data” using SQL, Tableau, Python, and other analytics tools.

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional, data-driven projects to ensure scope, timelines, and deliverables are met while maintaining high client satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement solutions.

  • Develop innovative solutions for non-standard client requests and complex problems.

  • Take initiative to improve team productivity and analytical capabilities.


Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics, with expertise in SQL and relational databases (structured & unstructured data).

  • Hands-on experience with healthcare data (medical, hospital, provider, or health systems).

  • 1–2 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Spotfire.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to or experience with Snowflake.

  • Experience with healthcare claims data.

  • Proficiency in handling large datasets using BI tools.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to apply both qualitative and quantitative methods.

  • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data visualization tools.

  • Experience with large-scale healthcare datasets.

  • Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to innovate and design creative solutions to unique challenges.


Work Arrangements

  • Type: Full-time position.

  • Schedule: Primarily during core business hours, with flexibility to support global time zones as needed.

  • Location: Hybrid work model available at Clarivate offices in Philadelphia or Toronto.
