Job Summary:

Parexel is hiring a Senior Drug Safety Physician to join their global medical sciences team remotely from India. This role involves providing expert medical review, analysis, and guidance during adverse event handling for investigational and marketed products. Ideal for professionals with at least 2 years of pharmacovigilance experience, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to global drug safety operations while working with industry-leading safety protocols and global regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical review, analysis, and input throughout the adverse event reporting cycle.

  • Guide Drug Safety Associates (DSAs) and specialists on medical aspects of pharmacovigilance.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product safety profiles, labeling, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Participate in client and cross-functional team meetings.

  • Train and mentor new team members as needed.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in drug safety processes.

  • Assist in inspection readiness and audit activities.

  • Support process improvements and coordinate to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Perform case medical review, causality assessments, seriousness, and expectedness evaluations.

  • Liaise with clients on SOP adherence and case processing.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: MBBS or Post-Graduation in Medicine (MD).

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in pharmacovigilance/drug safety preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of international drug safety regulations (GCP, GVP).

  • Expertise in adverse event evaluation and case processing.

  • Proficient in medical data interpretation and clinical relevance assessment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong computer proficiency, including web-based applications and MS Office.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.

  • Flexible, team-oriented approach with a client-focused mindset.
