About the Role
A leading global life sciences and commercial analytics organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to drive the development of advanced AI and machine learning models supporting commercial and enterprise-level solutions. This role is ideal for professionals who excel in data-driven problem solving, GenAI model development, and scalable ML pipelines tailored for healthcare, pharmaceutical, and commercial environments.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will design, build, test, and optimize data science models that power business intelligence, predictive analytics, and next-generation commercial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, deploy, and optimize AI and ML models for commercial and business applications.
Lead and contribute to Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives, including prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and workflow automation.
Build scalable data pipelines and machine learning workflows using Python and industry-standard frameworks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and commercial analytics, to deliver high-impact data-driven solutions.
Evaluate model performance, conduct error analysis, and implement continuous improvements.
Translate complex business requirements into analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
Ensure model integrity, reproducibility, documentation, and compliance with organizational standards.
Required Experience and Skills
3 to 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, analytics, and AI model development.
Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, including libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Experience in Generative AI (GenAI), LLMs, NLP workflows, or model fine-tuning.
Proven ability to build, test, deploy, and scale ML models in production environments.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert business problems into ML solutions.
Experience working in commercial analytics, life sciences, or healthcare technology is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML deployment.
Background in commercial analytics or pharma commercial operations.
Familiarity with MLOps tools and CI/CD workflows.
