Job Summary:
ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for its Bangalore location (Hybrid). This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to pharmaceutical analytics by developing machine learning models, interpreting clinical data, and delivering impactful insights that support global clinical trial innovation. Leverage your expertise in Python, SQL, and statistical modeling while working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop custom data models and algorithms for clinical data sets.
Implement and monitor statistical models to ensure data accuracy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to apply data-driven solutions in pharmaceutical research.
Apply machine learning techniques like clustering, neural networks, and decision trees.
Use Python, SQL, and BI tools such as Spotfire for data analysis.
Design automated tools to streamline analytics and metrics delivery.
Ensure model performance meets operational and business goals.
Prepare inspection-ready systems, code, and documentation.
Engage in development, maintenance, and delivery of data architecture solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
3–5 years of experience in data science, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
Proficiency in Python and SQL (R is an added advantage).
Experience handling large datasets and creating data architectures.
Strong grasp of machine learning models and statistical methods.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferably familiar with clinical data from pharmaceutical or clinical trials.
