Job Overview
We are hiring a Senior Coder – Profee Palliative / Urology for a leading healthcare revenue cycle management organization. This role focuses on advanced professional fee medical coding for palliative care and urology specialties, ensuring accurate translation of clinical documentation into standardized coding formats.
The role is suited for experienced medical coders with strong expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, particularly in specialty-based outpatient coding environments.

Education Qualification: Life Sciences / Paramedical Graduate or Postgraduate

Shift Requirement: As per operational requirement (may include rotational shifts)

Key Responsibilities
Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures
Perform specialty-based coding for Palliative Care and Urology cases
Ensure timely completion of daily coding assignments within defined Turnaround Time (TAT)
Review and validate assigned work volumes provided by Team Lead (TL)
Maintain consistent coding accuracy of 95% or higher
Prepare coding outputs as per client-specific guidelines and regulatory standards
Collaborate closely with TLs and QA teams for continuous performance improvement
Participate in weekly QA and team review meetings
Ensure strict adherence to healthcare data confidentiality and information security policies
Report any security or compliance-related incidents to designated authorities
Work collaboratively within a structured coding team environment
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical documentation
Ability to interpret complex patient records across specialties
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and coding accuracy
Good communication and team coordination skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with coding platforms such as 3M Encoder, TruCode, or Optum
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems like Epic or Cerner
Exposure to multiple outpatient specialties including Emergency, Radiology, and Profee coding
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
