Role Description Overview
The Senior Coder is responsible for the accurate coding of patients' medical charts and diagnosis reports, ensuring compliance with client specifications and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Code or audit medical charts according to client and regulatory guidelines
Ensure daily and monthly productivity targets are met
Prepare and maintain production and pending reports
Collaborate with team leaders to resolve issues and escalate concerns as needed
Stay updated with email communications regarding changes or updates
Ensure accurate application of client instructions and updates during production
Maintain documentation as per compliance and organizational standards
Adhere strictly to company policies and protocols
Job Specification
Experience: 6 months to 3+ years of hands-on medical coding experience
Knowledge: Sound knowledge of medical coding concepts (CPT, ICD-9/10, EMR systems, HIPAA regulations)
