Introduction to the Role:

As a Senior Clinical Programmer I, you will be at the forefront of clinical programming, dashboard development, and validation of data cleaning and review listings for ongoing clinical studies. This role demands strong technical skills and deep industry knowledge, allowing you to perform programming tasks independently and handle complex situations. You will also contribute to cross-functional initiatives with high complexity, driving innovation and excellence in clinical programming.

Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard Development: Design, develop, implement, and validate PowerBI or Spotfire dashboard applications to support clinical trial data reporting.
Clinical Programming: Independently program to process, analyze, and report clinical trial data, ensuring it’s ready for review by clinical study teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with global teams in data management, clinical development, biometrics, and other areas to meet reporting needs for clinical trials.
Project Leadership: Contribute to high-complexity initiatives in the clinical programming roadmap, defining and implementing tools and processes for study-level analytics.
Data Visualization: Develop and maintain data visualization tools, gather requirements, provision data, and build dashboards as necessary.
Documentation and Quality: Lead the completion of documentation for programming tasks, ensuring processes are conducted according to SOPs, guidelines, and best practices. Ensure high-quality deliverables from your work and others.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and cross-training to teams, ensuring the availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, life sciences, or statistics.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in SAS, Python, R, SQL, and Power BI/Spotfire or other dashboard technologies.
Clinical Development Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of the clinical development process and familiarity with industry standards.
Collaborative Skills: Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
Data Expertise: Strong technical background in data capture, data models, data mining, and data visualization techniques.
Familiarity with EDC Systems: Experience with systems like Medidata Rave, Inform, Veeva, and SAS LSAF is advantageous.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of FDA regulations and GCP/ICH guidelines related to clinical programming.
Business Intelligence Tools: Experience producing analytical dashboards with Power BI, Spotfire, or other BI tools.
MicroStrategy Knowledge: Familiarity with MicroStrategy is a plus.
Collaborative Skills: Excellent at managing complexity and change in dynamic environments.
