🎯 Job Responsibilities

🔹 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for clinical data review and dashboards

  • Translate existing SAS programs/datasets (.sas7bdat) into Python-based logic

  • Create complex data review listings, dashboards, and visual analytics using tools like:

    • Spotfire

    • Pandas

    • Matplotlib

  • Collaborate with:

    • SAS programmers

    • Data managers

    • Clinical leads

    • Safety and medical reviewers


🔹 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to data management teams

  • Present technical reports and documentation to internal and external clients

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of programming processes and policies

  • Manage and oversee tasks of junior programmers or team members

  • Ensure programming compliance, accuracy, and documentation

  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on clinical programming topics

  • Maintain documentation such as SOPs and technical guides

  • Resolve and troubleshoot programming-related issues effectively


📚 Required Qualifications & Skills

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Python programming (pandas, NumPy, OpenPyxl, etc.)

  • Basic SAS knowledge – ability to interpret datasets and simple PROC steps

  • Proven experience developing dashboards and data review listings

  • Strong data handling, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Solid understanding of database design principles

  • Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams

  • Willingness to learn clinical data standards (if not already familiar)


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Spotfire or Power BI

  • Familiarity with clinical data standards (e.g., SDTM, CRFs)

  • Prior experience in CRO/pharmaceutical or healthcare data settings

  • Knowledge of automation frameworks and data review tools
