Senior Biostatistician – Abbott (Alameda, CA)

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead statistical analyses, collaborate on study design, and support clinical programs for Abbott’s Tech Ops division. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design study protocols, sample size calculations, and randomization schedules

  • Review clinical data and develop statistical analysis plans

  • Conduct statistical analyses and interpret clinical trial results

  • Contribute to scientific publications and regulatory submissions

  • Provide biostatistical consultation to cross-functional teams

  • Mentor junior staff and train non-statistical colleagues as needed

  • Coordinate project deliverables and support regulatory timelines

  • Present statistical findings to internal teams and external stakeholders


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: MS in Statistics with 5+ years or PhD in Statistics with 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficient in SAS and/or R

  • Experience with study design, regulatory requirements, and clinical research processes

  • Strong communication and project management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and across teams


Salary Range:

$86,700.00 – $173,300.00 (dependent on location and experience)
