Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking a Senior Associate for SEC Reporting with a strong technical accounting background in US GAAP and SOX compliance. The ideal candidate will support the preparation of SEC filings, earnings releases, and investor communications while ensuring high-quality financial reporting processes. Additionally, the role includes technical accounting research and analysis, collaborating with corporate partners, and enhancing accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • SEC Filings & Reporting:
    • Draft, prepare, and tie out periodic SEC filings (including XBRL), registration statements, proxy statements, and 8K’s.
  • Technical Accounting & Research:
    • Assist with technical accounting research and the analysis of accounting matters.
  • Earnings & Investor Communication:
    • Support the data preparation for earnings releases and other investor communications.
  • Corporate Accounting Support:
    • Assist with equity-based transactions, leases, and other corporate accounting functions.
  • Ad-hoc Projects & Analysis:
    • Contribute to special accounting and finance projects as needed.
    • Work with FP&A to prepare commentary for management, addressing budget variances and related inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, SEC reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting.
    • CPA and experience with a Big Four or National Accounting Firm are preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and solve problems.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
    • High level of professional commitment and a service-oriented mindset.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
    • Demonstrated career progression and ethical behavior.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $105,000-$115,000 (excluding benefits, bonuses, and equity if applicable).
  • Benefits:
