We are inviting applications for an Associate scientist position (Toxicology). The responsibilities of this role will be to provide safety support to toxicologists based in the Piscataway office. The successful candidate will demonstrate a broad knowledge of toxicology and its application to ingredient safety assessments and provide safety clearance reviews for:

  1. Formulas for national launch,
  2. Experimental formulas and
  3. Human use protocols from a product safety perspective.

 

The incumbent in this role will be supporting the global toxicology team by performing the following activities -

 

  • Review safety of new product recipes (formulas)
  • Review Human Use Protocols and formulas being tested in Clinical, Consumer or Panel studies
  • Formula reviews and comparisons in support of the more senior toxicologists preparing product registration safety letters and other regulatory requests
  • Preparation of Product Safety Reports
  • Evaluate toxicological and other scientific databases to provide literature searches in support of new raw material safety assessments
  • Maintain Compliance Check values in Colgate’s Product Data Management (PDM) system

 

As this position is required to support Piscataway, this will be a shift position (2.00 pm to 10.00 pm) to accommodate some overlap in working hours.
