Job Summary

The Senior Analyst – RWE Acceleration role focuses on enabling real-world data (RWD) platform implementation, data integration workflows, and technical execution of analytics infrastructure within Novartis.

The role acts as a bridge between strategy and execution—ensuring real-world evidence (RWE) platforms are effectively operationalized within study workflows, especially for teams based in Hyderabad, while coordinating closely with global (US-based) platform and innovation teams.


Key Responsibilities

1. RWD Platform Implementation & Integration

  • Support implementation of real-world data (RWD) platforms (internal and external).

  • Enable workflow integration across multiple analytics and data systems.

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless platform adoption.


2. Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for:

    • New platform features

    • Tooling enhancements

    • Data integration workflows

  • Perform quality checks on platform outputs and integrations.

  • Monitor system performance and coordinate issue resolution.


3. Data Engineering & Workflow Optimization

  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose:

    • Automation solutions

    • Tooling improvements

    • Process redesigns

  • Evaluate feasibility of NLP and AI tools for integration into RWE workflows.

  • Support optimization of data pipelines and analytical workflows.


4. Cross-functional Data Collaboration

  • Partner with:

    • US-based data platform teams

    • Innovation workstreams

    • Vendor evaluation teams

    • Hyderabad RWD operations teams

  • Ensure operationalization of data sources within platform environments.


5. Healthcare Data & Coding Standards

  • Work with healthcare datasets including:

    • Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

    • Insurance claims data

    • Registry databases

  • Maintain and manage coding standards such as:

    • ICD-9 / ICD-10

    • NDC

    • HCPCS

    • LOINC

  • Support creation and maintenance of codelists for RWE studies.


6. Documentation & Training

  • Develop:

    • Technical documentation

    • Workflow guides

    • Training materials for internal teams

  • Support onboarding and adoption of RWD platforms across teams.


7. Platform Monitoring & Support

  • Track platform performance metrics.

  • Flag technical issues and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.

  • Support continuous improvement of platform reliability and usability.


Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Experience with:

    • Data integration workflows

    • ETL pipelines

    • Clinical or claims data environments

  • Exposure to:

    • Pharmaceutical or life sciences data platforms

    • Real-world data (RWD) / real-world evidence (RWE) ecosystems


Domain Knowledge

  • Experience working with:

    • EMR data

    • Insurance claims databases

    • Registry datasets

  • Exposure to:

    • Epidemiology

    • Clinical research

    • Market research (preferred)


Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of:
