Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking a Senior Analyst for Real World Evidence (RWE) to support programming and analysis for RWE projects. This remote role provides the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects by analyzing various data sources, including medical claims, hospital data, and electronic medical records, among others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Programming:
    • Provide programming support for analyzing real-world data from diverse sources such as medical and pharmacy claims, hospital data, electronic medical records, and prospective observational study data.
    • Develop and validate analysis datasets and analysis specifications.
    • Create and validate graphs, tables, listings, and figures for exploratory investigations.
  • Documentation & Communication:
    • Ensure high-quality programming for analysis-ready datasets and associated documentation.
    • Communicate progress and status updates to the project team.
    • Share knowledge and contribute to meetings, improving team productivity and quality.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement processes that enhance programming productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computers, Engineering, Statistics, Health Informatics, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Economics, or Econometrics.
    • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of RWE analysis experience in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficiency in SAS and SQL programming is required.
    • Experience with data from EHR/Claims databases (e.g., Optum, Marketscan, Flatiron).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python.
  • Experience handling big data and non-standard/new data.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present data clearly to internal teams.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical and econometric methods.
  • Experience with health insurance claims data, retrospective analyses, manual chart reviews, and pragmatic clinical trials.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD.
