About the Team – Antibody Development

The Antibody Development team specializes in engineering and validating high-quality antibodies with a strong emphasis on specificity, reproducibility, and performance. Core activities include antibody design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing across multiple immunoassay platforms. The team’s objective is to deliver advanced research reagents supported by robust scientific validation for global research use.

Role Overview

The Scientist II – Protein Biology will be a key contributor to antibody and immunoassay development programs, applying expertise in immunoassays, molecular biology, and protein purification. This role requires strong experimental execution, scientific rigor, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams.

Experience Required

  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or

  • PhD with 2+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience in life sciences

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute antibody and protein biology experiments to meet program and project objectives

  • Perform and optimize immunoassays, ensuring high-quality, reproducible data

  • Maintain accurate and timely experimental documentation in laboratory notebooks and data systems

  • Review scientific literature to stay current with advancements in antibody and immunoassay development

  • Analyze, compile, and present experimental results in written reports and oral presentations

  • Actively participate in team meetings, technical discussions, and project reviews

  • Adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and laboratory safety protocols

Required Technical Expertise

  • Extensive hands-on experience with immunoassays, including Western blotting, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and ELISA

  • Foundational knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, and cloning

  • Working understanding of protein purification methods, including affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, size-exclusion chromatography (SEC), HPLC, and SDS-PAGE

  • Experience in mammalian cell culture, aseptic techniques, and maintenance of cell lines and primary cells

  • Exposure to advanced cell culture methods such as stem cell technologies, differentiation, or spheroid culture is an advantage

  • Familiarity with antibody development platforms is desirable

  • Experience contributing to scientific projects through publications, thesis work, or technical reports

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with statistical analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism
