Team Overview
The Antibody Team focuses on antibody engineering and development, emphasizing reagent quality and specificity. The team is involved in the design, development, purification, conjugation, and validation of antibodies for various immunoassay applications, including WB, ICC, IHC, ELISA, Flow cytometry, ChIP, and IP. Their goal is advanced product development and creating product-specific information to promote research use.


Role & Responsibilities
As a Scientist II, Protein Biology, you will contribute to the antibody validation module, ensuring the reproducibility and specificity of antibodies using innovative methods.

  • Plan and execute experiments independently to meet program goals and timelines.

  • Record results in data sheets and laboratory notebooks on time.

  • Regularly review literature and stay updated on developments in antibody validation and protein biology.

  • Recommend improvements in product development and workflows.

  • Present data in written and oral formats to various audiences, including collaborators and leadership.

  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the scientific discussions.

  • Mentor junior scientists and supervise lab work.


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Master's degree with over 5 years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. with over 2 years of experience in cell/molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or biochemistry.

Nature of Experience

  • Extensive experience in the design and development of protein assays.

  • Solid understanding of biochemical, cellular, and molecular biology techniques for protein characterization, including cell treatments, tissue/cell lysate preparation, sub-cellular fractionation, immunoprecipitation, and microscopy.

  • Practical experience in immunoassays such as Western blot, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, ChIP, and Flow cytometry.

  • Experience with antibody development platforms is desirable.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and statistical software (e.g., Prism).

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to apply new concepts, and a strong team player.
