About the Protein Biology Team

The Protein Biology team focuses on large-scale functional validation of antibodies with a strong emphasis on reagent quality, specificity, and reproducibility. Core activities include data mining and processing, Western blotting using advanced platforms, high-resolution immunofluorescence imaging, immunohistochemistry, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), gene silencing, and related protein biology techniques.

The team’s objective is to generate high-quality validation data and robust product information that supports research applications and drives market differentiation.


Role Overview

The Scientist I – Protein Biology will contribute to antibody validation workflows by applying strong scientific rigor to experimental planning, execution, and data interpretation. The role focuses on validating target biology, ensuring antibody reproducibility, and generating scientifically sound datasets that enhance product credibility and research value.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a research team, demonstrate accountability for project timelines, and communicate results effectively to internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute antibody validation and characterization experiments using established protein biology techniques

  • Design experiments with a strong focus on reproducibility, data quality, and program objectives

  • Maintain accurate and compliant experimental records in laboratory notebooks and data systems

  • Conduct literature reviews to remain current with advancements in antibody validation and protein biology

  • Compile, analyze, and present experimental data through written reports and oral presentations

  • Participate actively in team meetings and cross-functional discussions

  • Adhere to project schedules, quality standards, and laboratory safety requirements


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related Life Sciences discipline with 2–5 years of relevant research or industry experience,
    OR

  • PhD in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field


Required Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of protein biology and antibody validation workflows

  • Hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology experimental design and protein assay development

  • Experience with protein–protein interaction studies, including co-immunoprecipitation

  • Proficiency in immunoassays such as Western blotting, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and ELISA

  • Ability to communicate scientific data clearly and provide technical troubleshooting to resolve experimental challenges


Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with computational biology tools and basic knowledge of biological databases

  • Exposure to scripting or programming concepts used in biological data analysis

  • Strong verbal and written scientific communication skills


Work Environment and Safety

  • Laboratory-based role requiring work in cold rooms/freezers and compliance with laboratory safety protocols

  • Use of personal protective equipment including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and related PPE
