Team Overview – Antibody Team:
The Antibody Development Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific focuses on engineering high-quality and highly specific antibodies. Their work spans design, purification, conjugation, and application testing of antibodies using advanced immunoassay platforms. The goal is to enable high-performance research products for global scientific communities.


Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist I in Protein Biology to contribute to antibody performance optimization using innovative molecular, protein, and cell biology techniques. The candidate will directly support the development of reagents for research use by contributing to cutting-edge antibody development workflows.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute single-cell sorting and support antibody characterization workflows

  • Design and carry out experiments aligned with program timelines and goals

  • Maintain accurate documentation of protocols, data sheets, and lab notebooks

  • Conduct literature reviews to stay updated on trends in antibody engineering

  • Compile, interpret, and present experimental data in team meetings

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines


Candidate Profile:

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree (0–4 years’ experience) or PhD (recently submitted) in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Immunology

  • Strong academic and/or practical foundation in flow cytometry and immunology

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in flow cytometry workflows; cell sorting experience preferred

  • Proficient in molecular biology techniques: cloning, plasmid prep, PCR, sequencing

  • Skilled in using FlowJo, FCS Express, GraphPad Prism, and Microsoft Office

  • Exposure to antibody development platforms is a plus

  • Ability to troubleshoot scientific problems and optimize workflows independently
