About the Team: Antibody Team

The Antibody Team focuses on engineering and developing antibodies with high specificity and reagent quality. The team’s core activities include:

  • Antibody design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing

  • Utilization of cutting-edge molecular, biochemical, and cell biology tools

  • Development of advanced reagents and product-specific data to support research applications


Role Overview

The Scientist I – Protein Biology will play a key role in antibody development, focusing on performance, specificity, and innovation through advanced molecular, protein, biochemical, and cell biology techniques.


Key Responsibilities

1. Experimental Work

  • Design and execute experiments meticulously to meet project goals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records in laboratory notebooks and data sheets.

  • Ensure adherence to schedules, protocols, and quality standards.

2. Research & Data Management

  • Perform literature mining to stay updated on advancements in antibody development.

  • Compile, analyze, and present experimental data in written and oral formats.

  • Actively participate in team meetings and collaborative discussions.

3. Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to product and process improvement through innovative approaches.

  • Work effectively within a cross-functional scientific team to achieve milestones.


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences with 0–4 years of confirmed experience, OR

  • PhD (submitted within the last year) in Protein Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of protein expression and purification.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Affinity, ion-exchange, and size-exclusion chromatography

    • Automated purification systems (AKTA, NGC, liquid handlers)

    • Antibody characterization via SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC, ELISA, Western blot, and Immunofluorescence (IF)

  • Familiarity with:

    • Antibody/protein engineering and rational mutant design

    • Structural biology and protein modeling tools (PyMOL, Schrödinger, Discovery Studio, etc.)

    • Antibody development platforms (desirable)

Additional Skills

  • Proven experience supported by publications, project reports, or thesis work.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical software (Prism).

  • Strong data interpretation, documentation, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with a commitment to innovation and continuous learning.

  • Effective team player capable of collaborating with diverse colleagues.
