JOB OVERVIEW

The Research Trainee – Global Innovation Implementation will support the development of innovative oral care products by performing formulation development, prototype preparation, laboratory testing, stability studies, and technology transfer activities. The role involves working closely with research scientists and manufacturing teams to develop high-quality products while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and laboratory standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development

  • Develop new oral care formulations based on project requirements.

  • Prepare and evaluate prototype formulations.

  • Support technology transfer to manufacturing plants.

  • Optimize product formulations for performance and stability.

  • Participate in new product innovation projects.

Formulation Development

  • Prepare laboratory batches of oral care products.

  • Conduct formulation screening and optimization.

  • Evaluate formulation performance.

  • Maintain formulation records and documentation.

Stability Studies

  • Perform stability testing as per established protocols.

  • Monitor product stability throughout the study period.

  • Record and analyze stability data.

  • Prepare stability reports.

Laboratory Testing

  • Perform rheological analysis.

  • Conduct foam evaluation tests.

  • Measure physicochemical parameters.

  • Analyze product performance characteristics.

  • Document laboratory observations accurately.

Raw Material Management

  • Organize and maintain raw material inventory.

  • Perform raw material testing.

  • Support qualification of new raw materials.

  • Maintain inventory records.

Equipment Handling

  • Perform daily verification of laboratory equipment.

  • Carry out equipment calibration.

  • Ensure instruments are functioning correctly.

  • Report equipment issues when identified.

Documentation

  • Record experimental observations.

  • Maintain laboratory notebooks.

  • Prepare technical reports.

  • Document analytical results according to internal standards.

  • Ensure accurate data recording.

Quality & Compliance

  • Follow Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

  • Maintain Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

  • Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures.

  • Support product quality initiatives.

Environment, Health & Safety (EOHS)

  • Follow laboratory safety procedures.

  • Maintain a safe working environment.

  • Comply with EOHS guidelines.

  • Handle chemicals according to safety standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with R&D scientists.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams.

  • Support technology transfer activities.

  • Collaborate with quality and analytical teams.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • M.Sc. (Chemistry)

  • M.Pharm

  • M.Tech (Cosmetics)

  • M.Tech (Oil & Oleo Chemical Technologies)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in formulation laboratory.

  • Knowledge of oral care product development.

  • Familiarity with analytical laboratory instruments.
