Clinical Research Associate I

Experience: 5 years of experience in Clinical Research, preferably in Clinical Trials, with exposure to market research, regulatory database analysis, lead generation, and business development support.
Salary Package: ₹5–8 LPA (As per company CTC range; final compensation depends on candidate experience, analytical skills, and domain expertise.)


Role Overview

The Clinical Research Associate I is responsible for conducting research and analysis of clinical trial registries, regulatory databases, and market intelligence sources to identify potential sponsors and business opportunities. The role supports the Clinical Trial Management (CTM) and Business Development (BD) teams through lead generation, database management, and data-driven insights to drive business growth.


Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Lead Generation

  • Research and analyze clinical trial registries, SEC filings, and ANDA databases to identify potential sponsors and business opportunities.

  • Identify pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and generic companies involved in clinical research and drug development.

  • Track regulatory approvals, product pipelines, and company expansion activities relevant to CRO services.

  • Support lead generation initiatives for the Business Development team.


Database Management & Data Analysis

  • Build, organize, and maintain structured lead databases using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

  • Perform data mining and analysis to identify emerging market opportunities.

  • Clean, validate, and maintain accurate business development databases.

  • Generate analytical reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.


Business Development Support

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Trial Management (CTM) and Business Development teams to improve lead quality.

  • Support targeted outreach campaigns by identifying relevant decision-makers.

  • Utilize AI-powered prospecting tools such as Apollo.ai to support bulk email campaigns and lead identification.

  • Assist in refining targeting strategies through data-driven insights.


Regulatory Intelligence

  • Monitor clinical trial registries and regulatory databases, including:

    • ClinicalTrials.gov

    • SEC Filings

    • ANDA Databases

  • Analyze regulatory trends, pipeline products, and market activities.

  • Provide actionable intelligence to support business development strategies.


Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and market intelligence summaries.

  • Maintain organized documentation of research findings and lead databases.

  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and quality of business intelligence information.

  • Support continuous improvement of research and reporting processes.


Educational Qualification

  • B.Pharm

  • M.Pharm

  • M.Sc. (Life Sciences)

  • Or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences.


Required Experience

  • 5 years of experience in Clinical Research, preferably within Clinical Trials.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or CRO business development, market research, or competitive intelligence.

  • Hands-on experience analyzing clinical trial and regulatory databases.

  • Exposure to business development support and lead generation activities is preferred.


Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Filtering, Data Cleaning, Basic Analytics).

  • Knowledge of:

    • ClinicalTrials.gov

    • SEC Filings

    • ANDA Databases

  • Experience with AI-based prospecting tools such as Apollo.ai.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities.
