Job Summary

ICON plc is hiring a Research Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Lenexa, KS. Join one of the world’s leading clinical research organizations and play a key role in the preparation of investigational medicinal products (IMPs) for clinical trials. This is an exciting opportunity for certified pharmacy technicians with experience in drug compounding and interest in pharmaceutical research.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compile investigational medicinal products (IMP) for clinical studies.

  • Process physician orders related to IMPs.

  • Organize, label, and package IMPs per regulatory standards.

  • Maintain safety procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Operate as a technician or verifier in a manufacturing environment.

  • Clean and sterilize manufacturing areas and materials.

  • Support warehouse management and materials receipt.

  • Assist with study binder preparation.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (mandatory)

  • IV compounding experience (preferred)

  • Basic knowledge of drug manufacturing or dispensing

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical and medical terminology

  • Understanding of environmental monitoring and data integrity

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
