About the Role

Join one of the world’s largest Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) with four Early Phase Clinical Research Units across the UK and US. As a Research Nurse, you will be at the forefront of initiating early-phase clinical trials, playing a crucial role in testing new drugs and helping to advance global healthcare.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Trial Support

  • Deliver a high standard of care for clinical trial participants using clinical judgment and nursing diagnosis.

  • Respond to participant needs and clinical emergencies per professional standards.

  • Monitor participant well-being, document adverse events, and take timely action.

Study Procedures

  • Obtain informed consent and educate participants about study protocols.

  • Administer investigational drugs according to study specifications.

  • Conduct procedures including:

    • Cannulation

    • Telemetry

    • Vital signs monitoring

    • ECGs

    • Venipuncture

Data & Documentation

  • Collect and process biological samples.

  • Accurately record and transcribe data into Case Report Forms and electronic systems.

Team Contribution

  • Adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to maintain quality and timelines.

  • Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

  • Current RN or LPN license in the applicable state.

  • Paramedics must have current certification.

  • Fortrea may consider equivalent experience in lieu of formal education.

Preferred Certifications

  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA, or CNA certifications preferred.

Experience

  • 0–1 year of nursing or paramedic experience acceptable.

  • Comfort with fast-paced, protocol-driven environments essential.
