Job Overview

Fortrea is seeking a Research Nurse to join our Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in Daytona Beach, FL. This role involves supporting Early Phase clinical trials for clients and offers exposure to a variety of therapeutic indications and study types. You will be involved in pivotal research that could shape the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new drugs, ultimately impacting patient lives globally.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Monitoring:
- Provide high standards of care and respond to emergency situations using nursing judgment.
- Monitor participant well-being and document any adverse events.
- Administer investigational compounds, including parenteral, as per protocol.
- Perform clinical procedures such as cannulation, telemetry, ECGs, venipuncture, and more.
- Collect and process biological samples according to study protocol.
Participant Interaction & Documentation:
- Obtain informed consent and educate participants about study procedures.
- Record data accurately and promptly according to protocol.
- Participate in the preparation and management of clinical trial activities.

Qualifications

Education:
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing with current licensure in the applicable state.
- Relevant and equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Certifications:
- CPR/AED certification is required.
- ACLS certification is preferred.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of nursing experience in a clinical or research setting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where precise adherence to protocols is crucial.
