Research Investigator – Analytical R&D (API Development)

Job Overview
Syngene International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Research Investigator to support Analytical Research and Development (ARD) activities focused on chemical development and API supply. This role is critical in driving analytical excellence across multiple projects, ensuring robust method development, accurate data interpretation, and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Experience Required
Minimum 0–3 years of relevant experience for PhD candidates in analytical research, method development, or pharmaceutical R&D environments.

Key Responsibilities
Perform routine analysis of in-process and isolated samples for intermediates and APIs using chromatographic and wet analytical techniques
Interpret analytical data and collaborate with chemistry teams to design and optimize experiments
Develop, qualify, and validate analytical methods in line with project requirements
Maintain accurate documentation using electronic lab notebooks and review peer-generated data
Prepare analytical reports and present findings in internal project meetings
Manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery of results
Lead or contribute to laboratory or workflow improvement initiatives
Supervise junior analysts and ensure quality and compliance of assigned work
Provide regular updates and technical reports to internal stakeholders and external clients

Educational Qualifications
PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline

Technical Skills
Strong foundation in analytical chemistry and data interpretation
Hands-on experience in method development, qualification, and routine analysis
Familiarity with chromatographic techniques and laboratory instrumentation
Understanding of GxP compliance and electronic documentation practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
