Job Summary

ICON plc, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is hiring a Research Assistant (Phlebotomist/CMA/CNA) to support clinical trial operations on a PRN (as-needed) basis in San Antonio, TX. This on-site role plays a vital part in collecting and managing accurate research data and supporting the execution of innovative clinical studies during weekend shifts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing clinical research protocols, including data entry and documentation

  • Collect clinical samples and perform phlebotomy tasks as required

  • Support literature reviews and research analysis activities

  • Collaborate with clinical research teams to meet study timelines

  • Maintain research logs and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Prepare research reports, internal documentation, and presentations


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, EMT, Paramedic, or LVN certification

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in allied healthcare settings (preferred)

  • Strong organizational and data management skills

  • Familiarity with research documentation and regulatory compliance

  • Proficient in data entry and use of research tools

  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills
