Job Summary:

The Recruitment & Retention Solution Strategist develops and implements innovative, data-driven strategies for patient recruitment and retention in clinical trials. This role acts as a subject matter expert during the pre-award phase, ensuring strategies are feasible, timely, and minimize burden on sites and patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design customized, data-driven recruitment and retention strategies aligned with study goals and client expectations

  • Assess factors including target patient populations, protocol complexity, site feasibility, and geographic reach

  • Collaborate with internal teams and business development to develop competitive RFP responses

  • Prepare Patient Recruitment Plans (PRPs), documenting risks and mitigation strategies

  • Partner with cross-functional experts (feasibility, operations, data science) to integrate real-world data and predictive analytics

  • Present and defend recruitment and retention strategies in pre-award discussions and bid defense meetings

  • Represent R&R function in strategic sponsor discussions to ensure alignment with client objectives

  • Track proposal outcomes, analyze performance data, and refine future strategies

  • Contribute to best practices, case studies, and lessons learned

  • Stay updated on global regulatory requirements, cultural considerations, and evolving patient engagement practices


Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in patient recruitment and retention strategy, clinical trial feasibility, or related areas

  • Experience designing and implementing recruitment strategies across multiple clinical trial phases

  • Proven collaboration with operational, medical, business development, site feasibility, and vendor stakeholders

  • Experience managing site-level recruitment (patient scheduling, data collection, site initiation)

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols and recruitment feasibility factors

  • Experience presenting strategies to sponsors or clients in bid defense settings

  • Background in complex therapeutic areas (rare diseases, pediatrics, geriatrics, terminal illness)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Skilled in evaluating recruitment and retention data to optimize strategies

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Professional organization membership related to clinical research preferred
