Role Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Statistician to provide biostatistical expertise across research and development projects. The role involves designing, planning, and executing statistical components, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality analysis to guide healthcare decisions. This position also includes mentoring junior statisticians and collaborating with cross-functional scientific teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and execute biostatistical analyses for R&D projects.

  • Lead or co-lead moderately complex projects, managing resources and timelines effectively.

  • Apply statistical knowledge to resolve moderately complex problems and develop innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate with scientists in the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical experiments.

  • Ensure study-level and project-level statistical activities comply with Pfizer standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare internal and external reports, presentations, and manuscripts.

  • Mentor junior statisticians and provide guidance on statistical methodologies.

  • Participate in research on statistical methods relevant to pharmaceutical development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with ≥4 years of relevant experience, OR

  • MBA/MS with ≥2 years of experience, OR

  • PhD/JD with any years of experience, OR

  • Associate’s degree with ≥8 years of relevant experience, OR

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with ≥10 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of general linear models, mixed models, non-linear models, experimental design, variance components, and quality control.

  • Experience creating computational tools for data visualization and working with multi-dimensional genomic data.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare technical reports.

  • Familiarity with ICH guidelines and pharmacopoeia monographs.

  • Experience in regulated scientific environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with pharmaceutical industry experience.

  • Experience providing statistical support to clinical studies, preferably in Oncology.

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical methodologies in clinical research.

  • Strong problem-solving skills in non-standard situations.
