As we expand our expertise into the Central Nervous System (CNS) therapeutic area, we are seeking a distinguished Principal Investigator with a specialization in psychiatry or neurology to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

As a Principal Investigator, you will lead and oversee clinical research studies focused on CNS disorders. This role presents a unique opportunity to generate additional revenue through clinical research, with comprehensive support to manage administrative and operational tasks. We have research sites located in Stamford, CT, and Bridgeport, CT, and are looking for candidates who can commute part-time to either location.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Work Flexibility: Conduct research from your own private practice or utilize our facilities.
  • Flexible Schedule: Typical commitment is 5-10 hours per week per study, with many activities completed in a single day and additional scheduling options available.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary based on a percentage profit-sharing model from each clinical research study in which you participate as a Principal or Sub-Investigator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study Leadership: Design, develop, and implement research protocols for clinical trials in psychiatry, ensuring adherence to study protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Patient Recruitment: Oversee patient recruitment, screening, and enrollment to facilitate timely study completion.
  • Data Management: Monitor and analyze clinical trial data, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all study records. Prepare and present research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including IRB approvals, GCP guidelines, and federal and state regulations. Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sponsors, CROs, and other research professionals to ensure successful study execution and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor research staff, including study coordinators and research nurses, involved in clinical trials.
  • Innovation: Stay current with advancements in research and therapeutic developments, contributing to the development of new research initiatives and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MD or DO with a specialization in Psychiatry or Neurology.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in clinical research, with a focus on psychiatric studies and CNS disorders. Proven track record in leading and managing clinical trials.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of clinical research methodologies, regulatory requirements, and GCP. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to advancing psychiatric research.
