Position Overview

The Drug Product Primary Manufacturing team produces sterile pharmaceuticals in a cleanroom environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Equipment preparation, product formulation, and material staging

  • Aseptic filling into vials, syringes, or cartridges

  • Maintaining sterile isolator barriers that separate personnel from manufacturing equipment

Shift: Night Shift – 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM; Friday to Sunday and every other Thursday

Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor


Essential Functions

General Duties (All Functional Groups):

  • Execute cleanroom sanitizations daily

  • Electronic verification of materials for processing

  • Perform area room clearances prior to batch execution

  • General housekeeping: waste collection, stocking, etc.

  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and aseptic behavior

  • Report safety and quality concerns and suggest improvements

  • Apply mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, unit conversions, significant figures)

Filling-Specific Duties:

  • Perform in-line sterile filtration and product filter integrity testing

  • Set up filling equipment, including part installation on filling lines

  • Operate and troubleshoot machinery using Human Machine Interface (HMI)

  • Collect and deliver samples according to sampling plan

  • Conduct unit counts and quality checks on finished units


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Up to 2 years of experience preferred

  • GMP experience preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Email, Teams

  • Ability to learn quality, operations, or scientific software (e.g., ComplianceWire®, JD Edwards®)

  • Understanding and application of cGMPs in daily work

  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical lab or production operations

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading, reaching, talking, writing, listening

  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Comply with EHS responsibilities

  • Work in temperature-controlled, cleanroom environment with PPE (scrubs/coveralls, gloves, hairnet, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes)
