PLC Technician – Manufacturing Automation | Kalundborg, Denmark

Job Summary:
Novo Nordisk is hiring a PLC Technician to join its manufacturing automation team in Kalundborg, Denmark. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates with experience in Siemens PLC/HMI systems, industrial automation, and GMP production environments. As part of a team supporting four purification plants, you'll be instrumental in driving real-time production support, automation reliability, and process optimization in a highly regulated pharmaceutical setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize PLC/HMI application code (Siemens systems).

  • Support daily operations by resolving automation-related production issues.

  • Draft and update documentation for system operations and changes.

  • Participate in morning team meetings and contribute to production targets.

  • Identify system deficiencies that could affect product quality and report accordingly.

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and GMP regulations.

  • Contribute to procurement of equipment, tools, and services related to automation.

  • Promote and implement cLEAN continuous improvement tools.

  • Collaborate with QA, production teams, and external consultants across projects.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or certification as an automation mechanic or equivalent technical background.

  • Hands-on experience with PLC/HMI systems, preferably Siemens.

  • Familiarity with industrial process control and regulation systems.

  • Knowledge of ISO, GMP, and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.

  • Strong Danish and English communication skills across organizational levels.

  • Team-oriented, change-ready, and able to contribute to development initiatives.
