Position Overview
Accenture is seeking an experienced Pharmacovigilance Services Senior Analyst to support global drug safety operations within the Life Sciences R&D vertical. This role is responsible for end-to-end ICSR processing, MedDRA coding, case quality review, and compliance with international pharmacovigilance regulations.
The position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pharmacovigilance Case Management
Manage affiliate mailbox activities, report reconciliation, and written follow-up for serious and non-serious cases.
Process ICSRs including case identification, data entry, narrative writing, MedDRA coding, quality review, submission, and follow-ups as per client specifications and global regulations.
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely management of safety cases within the safety database.
Operational and Analytical Responsibilities
Analyze and solve increasingly complex PV and safety-related issues with minimal supervision.
Use established methodologies while adapting new approaches to meet evolving project needs.
Ensure decisions made positively impact individual and team-level performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Interact regularly with peers and occasionally with Accenture management and client teams.
Support cross-functional activities within Clinical, Pharmacovigilance & Regulatory sub-offerings.
Ensure alignment with broader team goals and strategic direction.
Team Contribution and Work Allocation
Contribute as an individual performer or oversee a small work effort/team when required.
Follow moderate guidance for new tasks and minimal guidance for routine operations.
Maintain high-quality standards for safety data handling and operational efficiency.
Shift Requirement
This position may require working in rotational shifts based on client and project requirements.
Required Experience & Skills
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is mandatory.
5 to 8 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Surveillance.
Preferred Skills
Strong ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.
High adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of global PV regulations, safety reporting requirements, and safety databases.
