Pharmacovigilance Intern

Summary:
The GE HealthCare Global Pharmacovigilance Organization, part of Pharmaceutical Diagnostics, ensures patient safety by maintaining a robust Pharmacovigilance System. Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety activities are critical in a pharmaceutical company.

In this role, the PV Compliance Intern supports a wide range of moderate to complex pharmacovigilance activities, working within established timeframes to ensure compliance with global and local procedures, policies, processes, and guidelines.

Job Description:
The PV Intern role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the advantages and complexities of a global pharmacovigilance organization. Daily activities may include:

  • PV case processing activities.
  • Safety reconciliation efforts, including documentation and monitoring of safety information exchange with GEHC partners.
  • Providing support for project management activities, including audit and inspection exposure.
  • Supporting safety database initiatives.

This role provides valuable exposure to the field of drug safety.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, nursing, biology, or a life science discipline.
  • Must be able to work full-time in Summer 2025.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong data analytic and technical skills, including document management.
  • High integrity, a sense of urgency, and the ability to recognize time sensitivity.
  • Self-starter, fast learner, and able to take initiative.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Comfortable working in a remote office setting.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting.
  • Open to change in response to new information or unexpected circumstances.
