The Position:
The Pharmacist provides clinical pharmacy services for chronic and acute infusion therapies. Responsibilities include sterile compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring in accordance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to pharmacy practice standards. The Pharmacist works closely with a team approach to patient care, collaborating with nursing, intake, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services prescribed by physicians or other authorized personnel.

  • Complies with local, state, and federal accrediting rules and regulations.

  • Supervises pharmacy technicians and support personnel ensuring compliance in all areas.

  • Coordinates pharmacy services in a team model to ensure efficient customer-focused care.

  • Supports Soleo's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.

  • Trains new pharmacy staff and may serve as a preceptor for pharmacy interns.

  • Acts as a clinical resource to Sales and Marketing teams, assisting with customer presentations and clinical review of materials.

  • Supports procurement and inventory control procedures.

  • Ensures compliance with insurance authorization procedures and assists with insurance audits.

  • Participates in the pharmacy on-call rotation to provide continuous pharmacy support.

  • Maintains accurate clinical records for controlled substances.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a specialty home infusion company or hospital pharmacy IV room.

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) or R.Ph. with appropriate clinical experience.

  • Active state licensure.

  • Strong clinical and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
