Purpose of the Role

The PGS Rocky Mount Site Leader is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and tactical oversight to the Rocky Mount facility. This role supports Pfizer’s mission to deliver breakthroughs to patients by overseeing all production operations and related functions, ensuring high-quality medicines are manufactured and distributed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute operating plans to achieve the site's mission and product goals.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership across manufacturing, quality, EHS, supply chain, engineering, and more.
- Build and maintain a diverse, empowered, and engaged workforce.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure compliance with cGMPs and FDA regulations.
- Oversee all site operations, including filling, finishing, utilities, maintenance, and supply chain functions.
- Support operational excellence through Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, suppliers, local communities, and the Pfizer supply network.
- Represent Pfizer and the Rocky Mount site in the local community and external engagements.
Cultural and Financial Stewardship
- Foster a culture of safety, ethics, and diversity.
- Make effective financial decisions to impact short- and long-term goals.
- Drive cultural initiatives like EHS advancements and DE&I efforts.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate best-in-class technology and processes to optimize supply and support evolving commercial strategies.
- Lead network initiatives across the C3 Cluster and PGS.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience

15+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, including at least five years leading a major manufacturing or quality operations function.
Proven leadership in a large-scale manufacturing site (1,000+ colleagues).
Strong understanding of cGMPs and aseptic manufacturing.

Skills

Strong financial and business acumen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop complex strategies and lead teams to execute them.
Ability to influence and lead at all organizational levels.

Technical Expertise

Sterile injectable manufacturing experience (mandatory).
Additional experience in supply chain, EHS, quality, or engineering is desirable.

Compensation:
- Annual base salary: $256,100–$426,800
- Participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan (bonus target: 30% of base salary).
