Overview
This senior leadership role is responsible for directing Business Analysis and Intelligence (BAI) operations for Amgen’s outside-US (oUS) affiliates. The position ensures the seamless execution of analytics, reporting, and field excellence functions while driving strategic transformation across teams in India and supported global markets.
Key Accountabilities
Lead strategic discussions among Amgen India, oUS BAI, and supported global affiliates to strengthen process improvement, standardization, and operational optimization.
Manage BAI, Field Excellence (FE), and support teams, overseeing staff selection, development, and integration.
Ensure smooth execution of Amgen India’s BAI and FE processes, maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with global standards.
Oversee the development of advanced analytics solutions aligned with organizational goals and emerging industry best practices.
Build and implement enterprise analytics strategies, including operating models, governance, technical capabilities, and data-driven culture.
Define and execute the field excellence agenda in line with business requirements.
Ensure efficient customer engagement excellence operations, including CRM administration and stakeholder query management.
Embed Amgen India BAI within the global operating model by promoting agile processes and rapid insight generation.
Responsibilities
Facilitate strategic discussions on resource allocation, standardization, and optimization of all BAI and FE processes.
Serve as the primary liaison between oUS BAI teams and Amgen India BAI operations to ensure continuous high-quality delivery.
Provide oversight for all India-based BAI and FE services supporting oUS BAI.
Lead multiple teams of data specialists, analysts, and field excellence experts to strengthen analytics, reporting, and operational tools.
Manage 2–8 direct reports and develop high-performing teams delivering insights for diverse global business stakeholders.
Act as a senior advisor to leadership on the use of analytics, cloud technologies, and data-driven decision-making.
Maintain strong relationships with Amgen Commercial Data & Analytics (CD&A) teams and contribute to analytics strategy development.
Partner with functional leads and external partners to demonstrate the value of analytics, guide project lifecycle processes, and support deployment of advanced data platforms.
Collaborate with commercial and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, progress communication, and shared knowledge across BAI operations.
Experience Required
Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Analytics, Field Excellence, Data Strategy, or related functions within pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
Proven leadership experience managing multi-functional analytics teams.
Strong expertise in analytics platforms, cloud technologies, CRM systems, and advanced data tools.
Experience collaborating with global stakeholders and leading enterprise-level transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to define strategic analytics roadmaps and deliver measurable business impact.
