Job Summary:

Integrated Resources, Inc. seeks a Microbiological Scientist-I for a 6+ month role in Billerica, MA, to provide critical microbiology testing services for pharmaceutical industry clients. This role focuses on feasibility studies, method development, validation, IQ/OQ execution, and equipment troubleshooting, ensuring high-quality microbiological testing under strict cGMP compliance. The position is ideal for candidates with hands-on lab expertise and strong customer-facing skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility studies on customer samples and microbiology testing equipment.

  • Develop in-house testing methods for microbial detection on client products.

  • Analyze testing data and troubleshoot microbiological results.

  • Perform IQ/OQ validation protocols for rapid microbiological testing systems at client sites.

  • Install, prepare, and validate equipment used in pharmaceutical product/process testing.

  • Train customers in equipment operation, sterility, and bioburden testing procedures.

  • Provide consultation on PQ and test method suitability execution.

  • Guide clients regarding regulatory and industry standards.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues on-site if necessary.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical service, sales, marketing) to meet project deadlines.

  • Support sales development with pre-sale equipment evaluations.

  • Maintain detailed records, reports, and validation documentation.

  • Contribute to the development of microbiological testing protocols.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology or related field.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and documentation.

  • Expertise in Feasibility Studies, Method Development, IQ/OQ validation.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Customer-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative.

  • Able to work independently and manage projects with limited resources.
