About Alphanumeric:

Alphanumeric is seeking experienced Freelance Medical Writers for project-based contract work. With a focus on medical communications, Alphanumeric delivers high-quality, scientifically accurate content across various platforms and deliverables.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Alphanumeric team members and client leads to ensure timely project completion.
  • Develop accurate and concise outlines, first drafts, and incorporate data/revisions for high-quality content development.
  • Prioritize scientific accuracy, clarity, and ethics in content creation, referencing, reviewing, and editing.
  • Write materials with appropriate tone and language for target audience, ensuring effective story flow.
  • Maintain external authors' voice when incorporating edits or updates.
  • Provide robust references and annotate documents as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of medical writing experience in medical communications agency or pharmaceutical company setting, or as a freelance writer.
  • PharmD or PhD preferred; other life science degrees considered with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), internet, and database searches (e.g., Pubmed, ClinicalTrials.gov).
  • Strong attention to detail for document management and revision processes.
  • Professional interaction with client leads.
  • Working knowledge of compliance procedures and regulatory processes.
