Mission:
Our Medical Scribe program is designed to streamline the documentation process, enabling healthcare providers to provide more effective care. We also support the growth of our medical scribes, connecting them to valuable educational opportunities that help them further their healthcare careers.

Summary:
As a Medical Scribe at Scribe-X, you’ll work alongside healthcare providers across multiple specialties, documenting patient encounters in real-time. This role is essential to improving access to care, particularly for patients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. All scribes undergo comprehensive training to ensure they are fully prepared and supported in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient charts according to clinic protocols
  • Accompany providers during patient visits
  • Document patient history, physical exams, procedures, and care plans as outlined by providers
  • Remind providers of quality metrics and ensure accurate documentation
  • Record laboratory and radiographic study results as ordered
  • Enter medication orders and patient instructions
  • Review completed charts with providers
  • Update provider and clinic preference documents as necessary

Requirements:

  • Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute
  • Available to work 30-40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6 pm PST)
  • Must have a HIPAA-compliant workspace to ensure patient confidentiality
  • Strong fluency in English, with excellent writing and speaking skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience in a related field
  • Pre-health career track is strongly preferred
  • GPA > 3.5 preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate ranging from $11.00 - $17.00, based on experience, location, and time commitment
