Summary:
As a Medical Scribe at Scribe-X, you'll play an essential role in assisting healthcare providers across multiple specialties. You will document patient encounters in real-time, ensuring efficient patient care and improved access to medical services. Our comprehensive training program ensures that all scribes are fully prepared to work alongside their designated providers and excel in their careers.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare charts per clinic protocol
  • Accompany providers during patient visits
  • Document patient history, physical exam, procedures, and treatment plans
  • Support providers in meeting quality metrics by documenting required data
  • Record lab and radiographic results as ordered by providers
  • Enter medication orders and document patient instructions
  • Review completed charts with providers after each patient or at the end of shifts
  • Update provider and clinic preference documents as necessary

Requirements:

  • Typing speed of at least 60+ WPM
  • Available to work 30-40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm PST)
  • HIPAA-compliant workspace to ensure patient privacy
  • Fluent in English with strong writing and speaking skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of equivalent experience in a related field
  • Pre-health career track preferred
  • GPA > 3.5 preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience and location
