Job Description

EVERSANA is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) specializing in Hematology and Oncology to support its West Territory operations. This field-based role serves as a scientific expert focused on Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma (CTCL) and related oncology therapies. The MSL will engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, researchers, professional societies, and patient advocacy groups to facilitate scientific exchange, support clinical development initiatives, and enhance understanding of disease management and treatment options.

The role requires extensive field engagement, scientific expertise, strategic relationship building, and close collaboration with internal Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Commercial teams.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Exchange & KOL Engagement

  • Serve as the primary medical and scientific contact within the assigned territory.

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and healthcare professionals.

  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions on CTCL, hematology, oncology, and related therapies.

  • Support scientific exchange through advisory boards, educational programs, and medical meetings.

  • Develop and execute KOL engagement strategies and territory plans.

Medical Affairs & Clinical Support

  • Maintain deep expertise in oncology, hematology, CTCL treatment standards, and clinical data.

  • Respond to unsolicited medical and scientific information requests.

  • Support company-sponsored clinical trials and investigator-sponsored research initiatives.

  • Collaborate with R&D and Clinical teams to support study sites and investigators.

  • Assist in patient care pathway and institution profiling activities.

Territory & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage assigned territory and maintain comprehensive KOL tracking systems.

  • Build relationships with oncology centers, clinics, academic institutions, and healthcare networks.

  • Engage with professional societies, advocacy organizations, and value-based care institutions.

  • Work collaboratively with commercial teams while maintaining compliance with medical affairs standards.

Congress & Medical Meeting Support

  • Represent the organization at national and international congresses, conferences, and scientific meetings.

  • Provide scientific booth coverage and medical affairs support during conferences.

  • Prepare and share scientific insights and congress reports with internal stakeholders.

Internal Collaboration & Training

  • Provide medical and scientific training to internal teams.

  • Share field insights, market intelligence, and KOL feedback with Medical Affairs and leadership teams.

  • Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to broader organizational objectives.

Compliance & Pharmacovigilance

  • Ensure adherence to corporate SOPs and healthcare compliance regulations.

  • Maintain ethical and compliant interactions with healthcare professionals.

  • Support pharmacovigilance activities and appropriate reporting requirements when necessary.


Required Qualifications

  • PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, NP, PA, or equivalent advanced healthcare/scientific degree.

  • MSL: Minimum 2 years of Medical Science Liaison experience with at least 1 year in Oncology.

  • Senior MSL: Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 3 years in Oncology.

  • Hematology and Oncology experience strongly preferred.

  • Prior product launch experience is required.


Required Skills

  • Strong scientific expertise in Hematology, Oncology, and CTCL.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex scientific and clinical data.

  • Experience engaging with KOLs, investigators, and healthcare professionals.

  • Understanding of NCCN Guidelines, payer systems, and oncology treatment pathways.

  • Knowledge of oncology clinical trials, research consortiums, and cooperative groups.

  • Experience presenting to formulary and P&T committees.

  • Strong territory management and strategic planning capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently in a highly field-oriented environment.

  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) including overnight travel.

  • Strong compliance awareness and understanding of Medical Affairs best practices.
