Position Summary

As a Medical Information Specialist within the Medical Information Contact Center (MICC), you will play a vital customer-facing role, supporting the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products. You’ll be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and evidence-based medical information to healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, caregivers, and payers.

This role includes responding to medical inquiries, documenting adverse events (AEs), handling product complaints (PCs), and supporting medical writing and regulatory compliance across multiple therapeutic areas and products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs, payers, patients, caregivers, and consumers across multiple channels (phone, email, CRM, chat, etc.).

  • Research and critically evaluate medical literature to create high-quality, evidence-based responses.

  • Document adverse events and product complaints accurately and in compliance with FDA post-marketing regulations and internal SOPs.

  • Draft medical narratives for AEs and PCs, as well as custom responses to medical inquiries.

  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and other departments to manage product quality-related issues.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client-specific products, therapeutic areas, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion by modeling inclusive behaviors and proactively managing bias.

  • Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Pharm.D, M.Sc., B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or any degree in Life Sciences.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong clinical background.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (fluency required).

  • Demonstrated expertise in documentation, scientific research, and customer interaction.

  • Ability to work across multiple therapeutic areas and manage multiple inquiries effectively.


Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in Medical Information Contact Centers or the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Understanding of FDA adverse event reporting regulations and medical safety terminology.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, telephony systems, and Medical Information databases.

  • Prior exposure to therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Immunology, Neurology, Cardiology, or Rare Diseases is a plus.
