Job Summary

The Manager – Projects & Strategic Scientific Affairs will lead strategic initiatives and scientific projects across multiple affiliates, driving innovation, external advocacy, and digital engagement. This role requires managing key stakeholder relationships, implementing scientific outreach programs, and supporting medico-marketing strategies to strengthen business growth while maintaining a science-based approach.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Scientific Leadership:

  • Design, implement, and monitor short- and long-term scientific strategies aligned with corporate vision.

  • Provide strategic insights to medical affairs teams from top KOLs across 12 therapeutic areas and 35 business units.

  • Drive scientific outreach using digital tools, including ACare platform engagement across multiple affiliates.

Stakeholder & KOL Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with 1000+ KOLs and 20+ medical associations at pan-India and state levels.

  • Manage external advocacy with top government and non-government healthcare institutes for project implementation.

  • Collaborate with hospital decision-makers, scientific advocacy groups, and institutional stakeholders.

Medico-Marketing & Scientific Support:

  • Support marketing teams by providing data-driven scientific guidance for strategic growth initiatives.

  • Develop programs in collaboration with medical societies, leveraging digital media to enhance market differentiation.

  • Drive publication strategies for clinical studies and position papers in collaboration with publishers.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead Abbott’s participation in national medical conferences and signature programs.

  • Coordinate with finance, legal, compliance, and procurement teams to finalize contracts with KOLs, medical societies, and institutes.

  • Implement strategic projects for medical affairs and commercial teams across key therapeutic areas.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of pharma market trends, medico-marketing strategies, and digital healthcare solutions.

  • Exceptional analytical, data-driven, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven track record in managing high-quality strategic scientific projects.

  • Tech-savvy with advanced knowledge of digital healthcare platforms.

  • Excellent project management, creativity, and coordination skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive science-based business growth.


Qualifications

  • Education: MBBS / Pharmacy Graduate / Science Graduate with MBA from a reputed institute.

  • Experience: 3–7 years in Consulting, Pharmaceutical, or Strategic Scientific Projects, with exposure to digital project management and corporate scientific initiatives.

  • Preferred candidates: Current Managers in Marketing Excellence, Group Product Management, or Consultancy roles at multinational pharmaceutical companies.
