Manager, I&D Operational Excellence – Quality | Mumbai

Job Summary:
Abbott India is seeking a seasoned Manager, I&D Operational Excellence to lead quality and validation initiatives at its Mumbai location. The ideal candidate will apply deep knowledge in quality assurance, inspection protocols, and root cause analysis to ensure pharmaceutical products meet stringent industry standards. This is a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and compliance of life-saving drug development and delivery processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and review the work of quality assurance professionals.

  • Apply advanced quality assurance principles and analyze complex quality records and reports.

  • Conduct inspections, verification, and validation of components/materials in development processes.

  • Identify recurring quality issues and enhance reliability of testing protocols.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of quality issues and key performance metrics.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure consistent quality standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or higher (preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field).

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance or operational excellence.

  • Strong knowledge of quality monitoring, root cause analysis, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills.

  • Familiarity with validation processes, component inspection, and QA audits.

  • Proven ability to adapt traditional QA methods to complex, evolving challenges.
