Position Overview
ICON plc is seeking an experienced Manager, Clinical Systems to lead the implementation, optimization, and governance of clinical technology platforms supporting global clinical trials. Based in Bangalore, this office-based role with flexibility requires strong leadership in clinical systems management, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will drive system enhancements, ensure alignment with global clinical development strategies, and support high-quality data collection and reporting processes across therapeutic programs.

Experience Required
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in clinical systems management, clinical data management, or related clinical technology roles within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry, including demonstrated team leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, validation, and optimization of clinical systems supporting global trial execution.

  • Oversee system performance, data integrity, and compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, and IT to define system requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, system usability, and operational scalability.

  • Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.

  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to internal teams on clinical systems usage and compliance standards.

  • Establish governance frameworks, SOP alignment, and audit readiness for clinical platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in clinical systems management or clinical technology leadership.

  • Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements, including ICH-GCP and clinical trial compliance standards.

  • Hands-on experience with clinical data management systems (CDMS), EDC platforms, CTMS, eTMF systems, and related technologies.

  • Proven leadership capability in managing cross-functional and technical teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
