Position Summary

As a Manager, Biostatistics, you will play a critical role as a member of cross-functional study and project teams, contributing to trial design, analysis planning, results interpretation, and regulatory submissions. Collaborating closely with the Biostatistics Lead and other team members, you’ll help drive high-quality decision-making through robust statistical support.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Trial Design and Documentation

  • Design clinical trials to address study hypotheses and objectives.
  • Author or review protocol synopses, statistical analysis plans, case-report forms, clinical study reports, publications, and other specifications under supervision.

Statistical Analysis and Interpretation

  • Perform and/or validate preplanned or ad hoc statistical analyses with guidance.
  • Present and interpret results for GBDS (Global Biometrics and Data Sciences) and cross-functional teams.
  • Translate complex statistical concepts into clear, layman-friendly terms.

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to BMS processes, SOPs, and global standards within assigned indications or therapeutic areas.
  • Maintain high quality deliverables while developing expertise in statistical methodologies.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Foster a culture of inclusiveness and respect for diversity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address regulatory requirements and ensure alignment on trial design and analysis strategies.
  • Promote a respectful and constructive environment where challenges are welcome.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related scientific field (fresh graduates welcome).

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in scientific computing/programming (SAS, R, or Python).
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data manipulation, graphing, and simulation.

Core Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to:
    • Learn and apply regulatory requirements and clinical trial methodologies.
    • Work effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
