Role Overview
The Manager – MCCS will be responsible for creating and managing high-quality medical affairs content across assigned therapeutic areas. This includes developing diverse content formats (abstracts, manuscripts, posters, systematic reviews, plain language summaries, infographics, digital assets) while ensuring scientific accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Content Development
Create and manage medical affairs content:
Abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters/presentations
Graphical abstracts, systematic literature reviews
Plain language summaries, slide decks, medical education resources
Infographics, social media, videos, multimedia, and digital content
Conduct research, data compilation, interpretation, and quality checks for medical information.
Ensure content accurately represents data and adheres to compliance standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with medical communications, publication committees, congress teams, digital channel teams, and generative AI groups.
Provide content solutions in collaboration with authors and cross-functional teams (Graphics, Compliance, Statistics, Gen AI, etc.).
Build credibility with internal authors and external stakeholders across regions/cultures.
Project Management
Lead and execute projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery.
Manage accuracy reviews, data quality control, and project tracking.
Resolve issues with guidance from the Team Lead and senior colleagues.
Support training material development for therapeutic area priorities.
Innovation & Continuous Learning
Train on relevant content tools and new Generative AI platforms.
Stay current with medical content generation trends and industry best practices.
Develop expertise in advanced tools/skills for content creation and transfer knowledge to the MCCS team.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD, MSc, MPH, MPharm).
Experience:
3+ years in medical content writing/development (pharma, biotech, CRO, or academic).
Strong background in scientific writing and data interpretation.
Ability to independently manage and deliver projects.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
Organizational ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Familiarity with epidemiological/statistical principles.
Understanding of technology applications in medical content development.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in assigned therapeutic areas.
ISMPP-CMPP® certification.
Experience in multimedia/omnichannel content creation.
Proven ability to adopt new digital technologies quickly.
Prior global professional/educational exposure.
