Lead Contract Specialist – Mumbai (On-site with Client)

Job Summary:

Syneos Health is hiring a Lead Contract Specialist for a client-facing, on-site role in Mumbai. This position plays a critical role in clinical site identification and contracting, involving direct negotiation of Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Site Information Forms (SIFs), while collaborating with cross-functional teams. If you bring strong negotiation skills and a pharma background, this role offers a unique opportunity to support global clinical trial operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and manage clinical Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Site Information Forms (SIFs)

  • Lead site identification processes in compliance with SOPs, regulations, and project plans

  • Serve as primary liaison with investigative sites, ensuring timely documentation

  • Monitor, review, and report site performance metrics for operational insights

  • Ensure documentation accuracy and regulatory alignment throughout the contracting lifecycle

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on project milestones

  • Mentor junior staff and support internal process improvement initiatives

  • Track completion and ensure audit-readiness of site identification materials

  • Drive budget negotiations and financial agreement creation

  • Promote best practices in contract management aligned with industry and regulatory standards


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent experience may be considered

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical contracts, negotiations, or site management

  • Strong understanding of GCP, ICH, SOPs, and clinical trial documentation

  • Background in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry preferred

  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in high-compliance environments

  • Familiarity with tools and databases related to clinical site management

  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with strong documentation practices
