About the Role:

ICON plc is hiring a Senior Lead Clinical Data Science Programmer with a strong background in Data Warehouse platforms, clinical data visualization, and scripting languages. If you have over 4 years of experience in a regulated industry (especially in clinical trials under IDAR), this role is your opportunity to lead impactful data science initiatives in a global setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate within a continuous improvement framework to support systems deployment, lifecycle management, and user-driven enhancements.

  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance report development efficiency and manage analytics platform changes effectively.

  • Apply technical expertise in clinical data and report building, drawing on complex, cross-functional business processes.

  • Collaborate in a matrix environment across various teams and departments to meet project and system goals.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Business Analyst working within Data Warehouse platforms in a regulated industry.

  • Experience within a clinical trial environment, particularly in IDAR.

  • Proficiency in Tibco Spotfire or similar data visualization tools.

  • Skilled in Python, R, SAS, or other scripting languages (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of SDTM data structures.

  • Capable of gathering requirements and producing user requirement documentation.

  • Ability to work independently on moderately to highly complex assignments without supervision.
